| Started in
the 1980’s by Owner & President John Desimini, Johnny Mica
began as Interiors by Desimini specializing in kitchen
resurfacing projects. Fast-forward to the early 1990s and
this new company faced its first challenge, the economic
recession of the 1990s. Few years later on June 6, 1994 an
explosion at our offices on Sunrise Highway in Lindenhurst,
destroyed any trace of our existence and left Mr. Desimini
to have to essentially rebuild his company from the ground
up.
The very next day the company was up and operating thanks to
another cabinet shops generosity. Customer satisfaction is
always kept in mind and thus, not one day of manufacturing
was lost on any of the projects being handled at that time.
The dawn of 2000 brought many milestones for the company.
Investing in a complete CAD system that provided realistic
computer renderings capable of also creating manufacturing
specifications and material orders, is one of the key
turning points in the way Johnny Mica does business.
Customers now can see what it is they are going to get
before one day of labor is invested into the project.
Complimenting the CAD software, a CNC router was purchased.
The machine allowed for Johnny Mica to continue offering
customer’s quick turn-around on custom orders without any
sacrifice to quality. |
